Deep Rest Sleep Workshop with Yoga Nidra
These workshops are designed to bring awareness on the importance of sleep, a core physical need as humans and how it can benefit our overall wellbeing. You will learn how you can improve on your sleep quality by learning relaxation techniques. The really good news is that it is never too late to have a great nights sleep. There will be some psycho education on the brain and the physical and mental aspects of sleep. Each workshop will focus on one of our Emotional Needs as humans of which we have nine. There will be a total of nine workshops in this series. Our nine Emotional Needs include:
Safety & Security, Autonomy & Control, Attention, Intimacy & Connection, Community, Privacy, Competence & Achievement, Status, Meaning & Purpose.
The workshops will include a guided Yoga Nidra practice focusing on a different Emotional Need each week starting with Safety & Security, which will be linked to the Chakra energy centres in your body, so that you will have a deeply connected mind body experience. The Yoga Nidra will be recorded and sent to you after the workshop so that you can benefit from it as often as you need or want. The workshops start on Monday 10th October and run every second Monday until the 6th February with a break for Christmas. You can join all nine workshops for €150 or come to individual ones for €20. Each week we will focus on a different emotional need, working with all nine over the series, there will be some education on sleep and the brain and body, a guided Yoga Nidra practice and time for reflection at the end. Please bring a mat and blanket for the Yoga Nidra and a journal for reflection after the practice.
